Intermediate/Senior Project Manager

The Client:
 
With offices in Auckland and Christchurch, this is an established project management consultancy run by polished, experienced professionals. They have a number of key commercial and civic projects to their name, in addition to a steady flow of work coming in.
 
With an interesting mix of projects on the horizon, they now require an experienced Project Manager to join them in their Christchurch office.  
 
The Role:
 
This is a role which will see you initially working on retail projects, including refit, remediation, refurbishment, through to handover. Involvement in development, leasing and tenancy coordination for the successful applicant will be central to this role.  The projected start date would ideally be March/April.
 
You:
 
To be considered for this role, you will need to be a client-focused, consummate project management professional, from a consultancy background, with at least 5 years’ experience of delivering high quality projects, both retail and commercial.
 
It goes without saying that you will have outstanding communication and relationship building skills, as well as strong commercial awareness. Moreover, you will enjoy a challenge and take pride in exceeding expectations.  Ideally you will currently be located in New Zealand.
 
Criteria essential for this role also include:
 

  • New Zealand project experience
  • Retail and Commercial exposure
  • Leasing and tenancy coordination experience 
  • Understanding of spatial requirements
  • Understanding of climatic control systems
  • Fit out experience
  • Educated to degree level

 
The following would be highly advantageous, but are not essential:

 
  • International exposure
