Senior Project Manager - Consultancy

The Client:
 
Our client is a leading, international project management consultancy. With a considerable workload for the foreseeable future in Christchurch and the wider Canterbury region, they are currently seeking an experienced and well qualified Senior Project Manager to join the team.
 
The Role:
 
Put quite simply, this is a full life cycle SPM role. You will be working with clients right from the feasibility stages, design brief, through to full project delivery. This is not a job for the feint hearted as you will be drawing on your considerable experience of large scale projects ($70 million plus) in civic, commercial, healthcare, research, education and government sectors.
 
You:
 
This is role will suit a polished Senior Project Manager who understands and has real commercial acumen. With experience liaising with all interested parties, from clients to contractors, you will also be able to demonstrate that you are a team player and here in Christchurch for the long haul.
 
In addition, key requirements for this role include:

  • At least 10 years’ relevant experience in the sectors listed above.
  • PMP/Prince II or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in managing multiple projects at any one time.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to sensitively interact with clients.
  • Proven track record in influencing and challenging project results. 
  • Able to identify and manage risk.  
  • Proven ability to understand design, property and construction.
  • Excellent written and spoken communications.
  • Clear decision making and analysis.
