With the massive Christchurch rebuild and both Wellington and Auckland seeing steadygrowth, we have been asked to find experienced Architects able to start soon on commercial larger scale projects including retail, office, hospitality and civic projects.
 
We are specifically looking at qualified architects with experience in New Zealand, Australia, the UK and USA who will be able to make the transition to Registered Architect status at an early stage.
 
Our Clients:
As the longest standing specialist Architectural recruiter in Christchurch, I have in-depth knowledge and face-to-face contact with most of the larger and more design-oriented practices in New Zealand.
 
These companies tend to be the front-runners for the key projects nationally or specialists in conservation, hosptials, retail, high-end residential etc.
 
At the moment, the overriding need is for communicative Architects with a balance of technical and design skills, able to fit in with a team and leverage their knowledge of construction, design and project specialisms.
 
The Roles:
My focus is on Senior Architects able to take responsibility for cementing the client brief, developing the design and managing the contract to ensure it all comes into place.

Requirements:
 
For these positions we would expect the following:

• Typically 7 years plus as a commercial Architect

• A Registered Architect (or close)

• Excellent design and contract administration skills

• Proven effectiveness in a team situation
