Christchurch, New Zealand

The Company:
A well-established multidisciplinary consultancy providing a fully integrated approach, with both Architects and Engineers in the building. Our client has a distinguished history of almost 80 years in New Zealand and is known for innovation and forward thinking.
Working at the heart of the Christchurch Rebuild and with a healthy pipeline of work ahead, they are currently seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join their sustainably expanding team.
The Role:
This is a varied role within a growing office where you will work alongside Senior Engineers to provide expertise and ultimately present creative solutions to clients.
There will be a strong focus on report writing in this role, but also plenty of opportunity to get out on site. This is a company which places high import on their Geotechnical Engineers having first-hand experience of the sites and data they are working with.
As part of a small, close-knit team of talented Engineers, you will be actively supported in solidifying your understanding of the particular challenges presented by the Christchurch landscape.
To be considered for this role, you will need to tick the following boxes:

  • 5 – 10 years’ relevant experience.
  • Excellent report writing skills.
  • Ability to integrate within a multidisciplinary team.

The following would be beneficial, but are not essential:

  • Knowledge of liquefaction.
  • Chartered or on the way to becoming so.

In return, you will be joining an office of high calibre Engineers in a progressive, sociable environment with plenty of scope to grow with the business. If you are looking for a smart next step in a unique environment, this is a role that merits further investigation.
